Department Overview
An active pre-clinical department focused on providing comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and its clinical applications.
Our Mission
The Anatomy Department aims at providing comprehensive knowledge of the gross and microscopic structure and development of the human body. This foundation enables students to understand the clinical correlation of organs or structures involved and the anatomical basis for disease presentations. Under the guidance of our experienced faculty, students learn about Human Anatomy through cadaveric dissection and histology, along with detailed studies of human Embryology and Genetics.
Core Sub-sections
Comprehensive coverage of all aspects of human anatomy through specialized sub-sections.
Gross Anatomy
Comprehensive study of the macroscopic structure of the human body through systematic dissection and examination of cadaveric specimens.
Cadaveric Dissection
Hands-on learning experience through systematic dissection of human cadavers, providing invaluable practical knowledge of human anatomy.
Histology
Microscopic study of tissues and cells, understanding the cellular and tissue-level organization of the human body.
Embryology
Study of human development from fertilization to birth, understanding the formation and differentiation of organs and systems.
Neuro-Anatomy
Specialized study of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, and their functional organization.
Radiological Anatomy
Understanding anatomical structures through various imaging modalities including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI images.
Living Anatomy
Study of anatomy in living subjects, including surface anatomy, palpation techniques, and functional anatomy.
